How to play Chess
You play White and move first. Each piece moves its own way, and the goal is checkmate: attacking the enemy king so it has no escape. All the standard rules are included: castling, en passant, and pawn promotion. A game can also end in a draw by stalemate or the 50-move rule.
Controls
- Tap one of your pieces to see where it can go.
- Tap a highlighted square to move there.
- Pawns that reach the far side become queens.
- Pick Easy, Medium, or Hard from the menu at the top.
Tips
Control the center, get your knights and bishops out early, and castle to keep your king safe. Easy makes mistakes, while Hard looks several moves ahead.
